Party Banner made by Monika Lap Blanket made by Monika- organic
Monika is an extraordinary versatile artist that assist me every year with candle dipping. I love working with her because she is so open to making it better and has so much knowledge and so many ideas that we can also babble on together for hours. She contributes beautiful handcrafted items to our fair each year such as felted crowns and cloth lunch bags. As well, this year she made a series of blankets from organic material and vintage fabrics and pretty party banners. I was so excited to buy these as Christmas gifts though I can tell you it was painful to part with them. I once visited her at an art exhibit and her booth was never empty. For her I think it is a case of balancing her studio time, various projects going on at the same time and fulfilling her role as a mother and wife. She has a blog, the theolivesparrow with wonderful links to other artists and creative women and she has a website dedicated to her artwork. We both are considering splitting up our blogs to separate the personal from our work.
Jen, you make me blush... (grin...) I actually did create my other blog today.

It's still very bare bones, but I thought today, that I just had to start it. You're the first person besides my hubby that knows about it. I hope over the next weeks to make it look more presentable and to send out info to my clients and galleries by the middle of Feb the latest.... weeeeee... I'm excited.....
