Red River Bread:

½ cup Red River cereal

1 ½ cup boiling water

3 tbsp honey

2 tbsp vegetable oil

2 cups all-purpose organic flour

¾ cup organic whole wheat flour

¼ cup oat bran

1 8g envelope quick-rise yeast

1 tsp sugar

½ tsp salt

1 egg

Directions:

1.  combine cereal and hot water – sit for 10 min

2.  Stir in honey and oil

3.  Mix 1 cup of all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, bran, yeast, sugar and salt.

4.  Beat in hot cereal mixture; add egg

5.  Beat/stir for 2 minutes

6.  Stir in remaining flour to make stiff batter

7.  With floured hands, pat dough into a 9x5 loaf pan.

8.  Cover with lightly greased plastic wrap

9.  Turn oven on to 200 degrees for 2 minutes; turn

10.                Place bread in oven till doubles- about 40 min

11.                Remove from oven and remove plastic wrap

12.                Bake at 375 degrees for 40 min
